This month we are all about making upgrades to help improve how we feel and move … and I’ve got one of my favorite upgrades for you today!
This is something you can use to upgrade your commute … your household chores or any other everyday tasks!
It is all about PODCASTS, which are an amazing free resource that you can listen to for information, education, inspiration, and entertainment!
If you’re not familiar with them, at first they can seem a little intimidating because it feels like there is a learning curve involved.
But it’s a very very very SMALL learning curve, so don’t even give it a second thought!
I’m going to walk you through some of my favorites and how to make the most of them in this video.
There are literally millions of hours of high-quality content available for you to listen to, on pretty much any topic you can imagine, from money management to fascinating real-life stories, to crafting and fishing and the list goes on and on.
That includes help for living your healthiest, happiest, and best life!
And it’s all FREE and on-demand … which means you can listen to it all on your smartphone.
I’m going to outline the easiest way for you to get started with podcasts, for both iPhones and Android phones.
There are a lot of players you can use to download and listen to podcasts from, including apps like Spotify.
But to keep this super simple, we are going to go with the basics. Most phones already have a podcast app installed, so we are going to take advantage of that!
On an iPhone, you’re going to want to open the Podcast app, and on an Android, you’ll open Google Play and then scroll to the “podcast” item in the menu.
So, that’s the app you’ll use to listen to your podcasts.
But now comes the even bigger question, WHAT will you listen to?
If you’re not sure, you can browse different categories of podcasts from the menu, or look at the episodes topping the charts.
One of the things I really like about podcasts is that you can find so many different viewpoints and perspectives.
Some of the podcast shows are highly produced by major networks, while others are recorded in a studio set up in someone’s house.
If you find one on a topic you like, you can “subscribe” so new episodes are automatically delivered to your podcast app.
In case you need a little inspiration, here are some of my favorite podcasts…
Many talk radio shows are also turned into podcasts, which means you can listen to shows ranging from This American Life to the Dave Ramsey Show and everything in between.
It’s pretty amazing!
I hope this helps you take the plunge to get started with podcasts … and that you enjoy them as much as I do!
