Here's how you can make your FEET feel amazing in less than 5 minutes with one of my favorite tricks.
When your feet feel better, EVERYTHING in your body seems to feel and move better.
You’re going to absolutely love this. So much so that you may get a little addicted to it.
Here’s something to think about … your feet work so hard for you all day, every day!
And we tend to take them for granted.
If your feet aren’t moving freely and flexibly, that can set off a chain reaction that travels up your entire body.
This mini foot routine can be done any time of the day, after your workout, or whenever you have a few minutes to spare. Even while you’re watching TV or at the office at work!
All you need is a tennis ball. (You can also use a lacrosse ball or a golf ball instead.)
This works best if you do it on floor that isn’t too slippery, like on a rug, exercise or yoga mat.
Also, if you have balance issues or you find it hard to stand on one foot, you might want to do this standing next to a wall or even sitting on a chair.
Here’s how it works. Put the ball or bar on the floor, stand up (or sit up straight), and gently place the heel of your foot on top of the ball.
Then, slowly roll up through the arch, to the ball of your foot. And just roll around, feeling for any tender spots or areas that feel a little uncomfortable.
You can go from front to back, side to side, or however feels right for your foot.
When you find a spot on your foot that feels tight or tender, pause on that area and adjust the pressure if you need to. You want to wait until the tender area relaxes and loosens up a bit. You can also try gently rolling back and forth over it, to help break up any adhesions and tightness.
You can hold for a few seconds or up to a minute.
When you’re done on one foot, switch to the other and repeat.
And voila! You are done!
Your feet should feel both relaxed AND energized at the same time.
If you run, wear heels or walk or stand a lot for work, you might be amazed at how just a few minutes can totally change how you feel.
Try doing this routine on a regular basis and you’ll notice that those tender spots aren’t so tender any more. You might even notice changes in how your body moves and feels in general.
